Remember my zendoodled sun?

I wanted to compose another in the same style. Actually I want to eventually have three that are a “series” but I’m not sure what the third will be yet so let’s not talk about it yet, in case I change my mind.
This project started out like many others of mine, with me only having a vague idea of what I would do:

I had fun selecting colors, and I bought this amazing shade of purple acrylic ink to go with my shimmery blue. And a silver, which looks fine, but not as amazing as I hoped it would. It just doesn’t pop.

There’s quite a bit of acrylic ink in this piece, more so than in my sun. At one point the paper started buckling, but once I let it dry it was perfectly fine. My silver paint pen draws over the acrylic with ease, which is good, because I like to add doodles everywhere.

I decided to use the uncial script for the word “moon” because it reminds me of Bilbo from LOTR, and anything LOTR makes me happy (“Lord of the Rings”, for those of you who might not know the abbreviation). I really should just stick with the more medieval fonts; I’ve been practicing my Spencerian because it’d be useful to know (and that’s what most people seem to want) but I vastly prefer non-loopy scripts. They’re more menacing.
Part the Second will be coming soon. I’m letting the color choices steam around a bit in my head before I move forward. Also, I alternate between thinking this piece is AMAZING and thinking it’s total crap so I really should only work on it when I think it looks amazing. I’m scared of what would happen otherwise.
And in case you’re interested, my supply list (with affiliate links!):

I used 140lb paper and it’s holding up well, although for future projects with the liquid acrylic I might use 300lb paper:
