Oops, we did it again.

Not that. Well, yes that, but not that.

We’re moving again.

Ask us our life’s story and you’ll lose count of how many times we’ve moved/states we’ve called home. Himself is an Air Force brat and I take too long to put down roots so I’m usually game for whatever. This time, though, we both tried to be content. We moved here after making it through five brutal years of full-time college, full-time working, full-time parenting and the insane choice to also home school. We took this job because it looked stable, we could pay our bills, and it looked like nothing happened here. We needed that.

But now we’re recovered. I feel the itch again, I know He does, and we applied at random for a dream job back in New Mexico (the state we could probably call home, given that we managed to stay put for five years, our current record). We didn’t think they’d call back, we discussed what they’d need to offer to entice us to leave (because we were content, we were making friends, it was all fine).

And then He got a call. Then He called me. It went like this:

Himself: “Job job job job job job -this is what they offered- job job job job job job!!!!!!!”

Me: “*%&$!!!!!!!!!! Squeeeeee!”

Himself: “Calling back taking job!!!!!!!!”

Me: “Squeeeee!!!!!!!”

As you can see, we totally discussed it. And we’re going.

This might be the last time we can do this uprooting. My kids are aware of what’s happening and have THOUGHTS and FEELINGS. I don’t want to do this to them again. But. Santa Fe, guys, Santa Fe. A mecca of artists. This is as much for me as it is for him.

So while we will be posting still, please be patient with us. This move is happening this month, and so we will be somewhat distracted. If you order something from Etsy I’ll get it to you, it’ll probably be on time, but if not I’ll let you know right away with a more accurate estimate of when it’ll be shipped.
