drawing

A humbling experience.

I can draw abstract things. Check out my etsy store or previous posts-I’m fairly good at it. But I’ve been feeling a lack of know-how, so we bought a drawing book with thirty days of lessons.

I’m currently on Day 3. We’re drawing a lot of balls and rocks, but the important thing is here that I’m learning how to shade properly. And dimensions. And stuff like that.

And it’s humbling. I can tell my drawings are way better than when I started back in January, but I have such a long ways to go.

They are eggs, but lets call them balls, because it’s funny.
My space rocks.

I almost didn’t share these pictures, but I’m trying to document our journey as artists here, so I’d be remiss if I left these out. Even if I’m cringing on the inside.

But.

Happy Thursday! Art on, my friends!

  1. I love this. This is what is great about blogs. It gives thoughtful, talented people a space to not only crest but create a platform for growth and knowledge and in doing so, an example of it. Brava.
