Since I’m frequently bedbound I’m attempting to do more social media for Wordsremember. I am terrible at making videos but I’m having fun! And Bluesky is fun too; I like having a spot to share the various thoughts passing thru my brain. Both accounts are definitely a mix of leatherwork and my own personality, I’ve never been able to separate them. Apparently TikTok will be gone in January? But we’re not sure? I have no idea. I’m getting old, I need a teenager to explain it to me;)
I’m also adding listings, slowly, to the Etsy shop. I had cut it back to just my renfaire section in an attempt to keep the volume of orders within my capabilities, but I do miss selling journals and whatnot. I’m currently working on my first set of leather pauldrons but it’s slow going, orders take priority. I have plans for book and scroll holders, full chest armor, and combining scalemail with leather (as fibromyalgia and endometriosis allow).
No big discounts this December, unlike previous years when I participated in Black Friday sales. I’m not sure when I’ll put the shop on vacation for Christmas; I may just extend shipping times. It’s hard to gauge how I’ll feel day to day, and thus hard to plan. Today was mostly spent in front of the space heater wrapped in blankets (the cold makes my bones ache, which is sad since fall and winter are my favorite seasons). But I still enjoy creating and selling, and that’s the important thing.
